Six years of infrastructure change, one engineering team LTM continued to trust
Most IT infrastructure providers are brought in for one project, then reviewed again when the next move, upgrade or expansion comes along.
For LTIMindtree, the relationship with Connectium developed differently.
What began in 2019 as a small server migration during an office move grew into a long-term infrastructure partnership covering UPS installation, server room design, inter-floor connectivity, full office relocation, infrastructure refresh work, consolidation and international deployment support.
Across each stage, the value was not only in the individual work completed. It was in the continuity of having the same experienced team understand the client’s environment, risks and operational requirements.
2019: The first office move and server migration
Connectium first supported the client in 2019, during an office move that required a small but important server migration.
Although the initial scope was modest, the work established the foundations for a longer relationship. The client needed a team that could handle business-critical infrastructure carefully, communicate clearly and complete the migration without unnecessary disruption.
That first project gave Connectium a working understanding of the client’s infrastructure, environment and expectations — knowledge that became increasingly valuable as the client’s requirements grew.

2021–2022: UPS installation to improve resilience
By 2021 and 2022, the client required a more resilient power setup to help eliminate power outages and voltage spikes affecting the IT environment.
Connectium managed the delivery, installation and commissioning of floor-standing UPS systems, including the logistical challenge of moving heavy units from the loading bay into the server room.
The work included the required certification, manuals and handover documentation, giving the client a more stable and reliable infrastructure setup.
This phase was a key milestone because it moved the environment from reactive problem-solving to a more controlled and resilient infrastructure model.

2022–2023: Merger, expansion and a larger office requirement
Following the LTIMindtree merger, the business required a much larger office space to support its expanded operations.
This created a more complex infrastructure challenge. The client was no longer simply moving equipment from one place to another. Before the migration could happen, Connectium first had to help turn an empty office floor space into a functioning server room.
The new setup needed to accommodate core infrastructure, including server cabinets, controllers, UPS-backed power and supporting network equipment.
The challenge was made more complex by the layout of the new location. The client had two office areas across different floors, with one office on the 7th floor and another on the 10th floor.
Connectium connected the satellite server room to the main server room and integrated the setup with the UPS-backed infrastructure. Once the environment was prepared, the migration of the client’s infrastructure could begin.
Connecting the two office environments
A key part of the project was ensuring the two office spaces could operate as one connected infrastructure environment.
Connectium delivered the inter-floor connectivity between the 7th and 10th floors, connecting the satellite server room back to the main server room and supporting the wider network and power requirements.
This work required coordination with building facilities, careful planning and the preparation of RAMS documentation so the project could be completed safely and without unnecessary disruption to the client’s operations.
By the end of this phase, the client had a more suitable infrastructure environment for its larger business, supported by a server room that had been built around operational need rather than inherited limitations.
2025: Infrastructure refresh and consolidation
In 2025, Connectium returned to carry out an infrastructure refresh and consolidation.
As with many long-running IT environments, the infrastructure had evolved over time. Equipment had been added, cabling had changed and the server room needed to be brought back into a more organised, maintainable condition.
Connectium reviewed the setup, consolidated infrastructure where required, improved cable management, updated labelling and helped standardise the server room so it would be easier to maintain, support and fault-find in future.
This type of work is often overlooked, but it is essential. A server room does not only need to work on the day it is installed. It needs to remain manageable years later, especially as the business continues to grow and change.

Cyrille Julien - London "Our experience with Connectium has been nothing short of exceptional. Since 2019, they have been our trusted partners, assisting with multiple IT and server equipment relocations. Their expertise was crucial when we built our new server room in Central London, where they installed floor-standing UPS units and connected our satellite server room to the main server room. Additionally, their services in IT disposal and certification for our redundant equipment have been highly reliable."
